DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT: Twelve (12) Months (renewable)
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing Active Directly Domain Controllers events and provide proper solutions. Continuous research and troubleshooting for identified issues. Investigate possible Active Directory operation services bottlenecks and recommend enhancement and solutions. Install, configure and administer AD servers. Troubleshoot OS issues and be able to role out patches and hot fixes. Monitor and resolve Active Directory Operation Masters problems and incidents. Perform Authoritative Active Directory replica restore. Respond to outstanding Active Directory issues and work with MS support center, especially, in case of unknown issues to which permanent solution do not exist. Support DNS/WINS/DHCP infrastructure. Active participation in the support of logical Active Directory sites and services and replication topology. Test security patches and hotfixes component prior to implementation. Upgrade AD Operating System.
SKILLS REQUIRED AND ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
BS Computer Science or related field, Certification in Windows 2000 MCSE.
Minimum of two years experience in working with MS Active Directory. Strong background in supporting MS Windows 2000 OS Servers. Strong knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory Inter/Intra site replication topology and DNS AD integration zones. Experienced in Microsoft DNS/DHCP/WINS. Strong knowledge in using MS AD command line utilities such as LDP, NLTEST, NETDIAG, DCIAG, NBSTAT, etc. Strong analytical and networking skills.
DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to write Active Directory related Scripting. Understanding of LDAP and WMI implementation. Ability to automate tasks. Familiar with 3rd party Active Directory troubleshooting tools. Ability to coordinate and associate with other IT entities
