BroadVision Consultant
DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT: 12 months (renewable)
Consultant shall perform all the work required to manage the content of our client's Internet web site.
Enhance and maintain Broadvision applications.
List of Activities/Tasks
· Manage and maintain the Internet web site content using BroadVision One-To-One
Enterprise application.
· Consultant shall perform all the work required to manage the content of Saudi Aramco
Internet web site. Enhance and maintain Broadvision applications.
· Build JSP pages, define communities and define database schema.
· Create new templates under BroadVision.
· Create forms and workflows for content loaders to be used for content feeding.
· BroadVision system administration and Monitor the performance loading and cache.
· Customize Verity search engine to meet new requirements.
· Quality Assurance Testing.
· Troubleshooting BroadVision One-To-One Enterprise application and tools.
· Transfer BroadVision and Verity skills and knowledge to other analysts.
· Train less experienced analysts to be able support Broadvision products.
Skills required:
Consultant should have the following BroadVision applications skills:
· IEP 5.5 experience.
· Enterprise 5.5 experience.
· Publishing Center 5.5 experience
· Programming JSP with BV APIs and used BV's APIs for content, categories, channels, programs,
user profiles, qualifiers, matching agent, etc... .
· BV System Administration for 5.5*
· Experience installing traditional and production architecture of 5.5. Knowledge of BV configuration
files and parameters. Knowledge of commands to start, stop, configure, and monitor BV IMs
and services.
· Verity Search engine experience
Consultant should have the following general skills:
· Knowledge of Internet multiple-tier web application architecture and design, knowledge of HTTP
protocol.
· Server-Side JavaScript scripting experience. Knowledge of session maintenance such as form
processing.
· HTML and Client-Side JavaScript experience.
· Unix user experience. Experience with Unix commands, shell scripts, and editors.
· Basic Oracle Developer experience (SQLPlus, SQL).
· Basic CVS user. Ability to check-in, check-out, and create new items in the code repository.
· Native English speaking and ability to transfer knowledge.
